摘要:

 The interest in printed electronics stems primarily from the expectation that this emerging electronic technology would deliver profound economic values and environmental benefits, arising from utilization of potentially simple, low-cost and low-waste additive printing processes instead of conventional complex and wasteful, high-temperature, high-vacuum, subtractive photolithographic methods. For printed electronics, since the electronic circuits and components can be printed on flexible plastic substrates using active organic/polymer materials, salient features such as thin, compact and lightweight characteristics and structural flexibility could also be realized through this paradigm shift in manufacturing. This presentation discusses the issues, challenges, and advances in the development of printed electronics materials over the last decade, and the outlook in materials for this emerging technology.
