题目:Structures and Reactions of Methanol Molecules on TiO2 Surfaces Studied by Sum Frequency Generation Vibrational Spectroscopy (SFG-VS)

摘要:

TiO2 material has attracted more and more attention in both scientific fields and industries due to its wide application in photo-splitting of water and photodegradation of organic contaminants, which are strongly relating to the energy crisis and the environmental pollution in our world. The photocatalytic reaction of CH3OH, the simplest of the organic alcohols, has been thoroughly studied on TiO2 surfaces as a model of oxidation of organic contaminants. In the recent years, we used two-photon photoemission spectroscopy (2PPE) and temperature programmed desorption (TPD) with laser excitation, and have concluded the stepwise dissociation and oxidation of methanol on TiO2 (110) surface. Due to the limitation of conventional experimental technique, it is difficult to in situ obtain the information of species on surfaces directly, especially in high pressure condition. In this talk, I will show our latest results of the adsorption structures and reactions of methanol on TiO2 (110) surfaces in both ultrahigh vacuum and high pressure conditions studied by surface specific SFG-VS, which was newly set up in Peking University.

 

个人简介:

任泽峰教授于20047月在中国科学技术大学化学物理系本科毕业,20097月博士毕业于中国科学院大连化学物理研究所(导师:杨学明院士)20099 月,赴德国马普学会Fritz Haber研究所从事博士后研究, 20101月开始获洪堡基金会资助。2011年被聘为北京大学国际量子材料科学中心教授,博士生导师。已发表论文20余篇,其中2Science(共同一作排第二), 1PNAS2013年获得“优青”支助,曾获中科院院长特别奖(2009年)和优秀奖(2007年),国家自然科学奖二等奖(2008年),辽宁省自然科学一等奖(2007)等。研究工作曾在2006年、2007年两次被评为中国十大科技进展之一。
