报告题目：Controlled synthesis of luminescent perovskite nanocrystals for optical applications
Metallic halide perovskite nanocrystals have the advantages of highly tunable absorption and emission spectrum, narrow full width to half maximum (FWHM), high photoluminescence quantum yield (PL QY up to 100%), simple and low-cost liquid phase synthesis, etc., and have become the ideal luminescent materials for high-definition displays and other optical applications. However, the stability of perovskite halide nanocrystals under light, heat, moisture, oxygen and other aging conditions is still not satisfactory. In this talk, I will report several recently developed synthetic strategies for nanocrystal-polymer composite films to overcome these stability limitations and discuss their practical applications in wide color gamut liquid crystal displays. white LED lighting, and luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs).
Zhengtao Deng is a professor at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences of the Nanjing University (NJU). He received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) in 2007. From 2007 to 2014, he worked on luminescent nanocrystals at University of Arizona (UA), Arizona state university (ASU), and MIT in the United States. In 2014, he was selected into the national overseas high-level talents program and joined NJU faculty. At present, his research is focused on the controllable preparation of the luminescent quantum materials and their optical applications in displays, lighting and solar cells.
