Research Experiences:

Dr. Yong Xu got his PdD degree from Unveristy of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2013. In 2011, He was supported by Chinese Scholorship Council (CSC) as a joint PdD student to go to Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati (INFN) as a joint PdD student. After graduation from USTC, he joined Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI-CAS) as a assitant researcher, then moved to Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials (FUNSOM) as a postdoctral fellow. In 2015, he was supported from fellowship of 1+1 Program for Outstanding Postdoctoral Researchers (Soochow Nano-CIC) to visit Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). In 2017, He joined FUNSOM as a associate researcher.


Research Interests:

1. Heterogeneous catalysis: New catalyst design for CO2 redcution, hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, and methane oxidative coupling etc.;

2. Controllable synthesis of functional optoelectronic materials and their applications;

3. Catalytic applications of new inorganic nano materials
